ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Clown, for the sake of this workshop, is about discovering the person you were before anybody said “No” to you — that sparkly, squirrely little one inside you, before you were bullied into tucking all that enthusiasm away. Through a series of specifically tailored exercises, we will find our fun and love for being on the stage once again.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Luis Feliciano and Kristen Hoffman have done Clown training around the world -- namely with Christopher Bayes in NYC, Giovanni Fusetti in Padova, Italy, and Philippe Gaulier in Etampes, France. They have also been Teaching Assistants for Linklater-Certified Benjamin Moore for over 3 years. They are co-founding members of the award-winning Torch Ensemble (Best Play at NYC Fringe 2024), and have devised a clown show, MILLION IDEAS TOUR, and a bouffon show, COUPLE OF BOUFFONS, both seen most recently at The Idiot's Hour.

This workshop is a first introduction to the world of physical theater and Clown. We are hoping to garner your interest in helping us develop a pedagogy that combines all of our teachings from several master teachers.
